6 Easy Indoor Home Projects
Tackle 6 easy indoor projects this winter! From refreshing a room with a new coat of paint to decluttering and organizing, it's the perfect time of year to make your home more cozy and refreshed!
1) Declutter And Reorganize - Whether it’s your closets, cupboards, garage, or basement… It’s good to get a fresh start from time to time. You can also sell, give-away, or donate items - or pack up and rotate special things you keep. Check your favorite local charities for their list of wanted items. When reorganizing - perhaps utilize new containers and labels. It feels good to have everything in it’s place.
2) Swap Out Hardware - Refresh cupboard knobs and drawer pulls. Use a DIY style or buy something you like. Consider whether or not you want to update the hinges as well, and any other attached hardware, such as towel holders. Also, consider updating door knobs and heat vents.
3) Install A New Shower Head - This is the quickest way to update your shower and can be so impactful to your mood for the day!
4) Paint - whether it’s a new color or a refresh of the same color… a fresh coat of paint is a nice fresh start. When painting indoors, especially in winter, talk with your paint department or store and consider low VOC paint. Some benefits of VOC paint include: improved air quality, reduced toxins, less odor, more environmentally friendly, easy to clean, durable finish, easy to apply, and comes in a wide variety of colors! Not up for painting? Try the Magic Eraser to remove marks and clean walls.
5) Hang Curtains Or Change Your Blinds - With the days being so much shorter - you may find yourself closing the windows for longer. Treat yourself to some new curtains or blinds. *Note if you have vertical blinds by your patio door - I 100% recommend curtains instead.
6) Install Peel And Stick Wallpaper - Wallpaper is popular and expected to be a top trend. Advances in vinyl and nonwoven wallpapers, as well as fun new designs to express your personal style have contributed to their popularity. It’s easier than ever to buy and is even being used in unexpected places, such as ceilings, to create a unique focal point. Most importantly, it’s easier than ever to remove and change. Before embarking on this type of change - do a little research about the pros, cons, and preparations recommended for the different types of wallpaper or wall types.
Share any projects you are taking on or have done in the past. What would you add to this list to help others improve their space during the winter months? Let's motivate each other with inspiration! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/XiBE5jrCV7TLUPXH/
