Real Estate Market Update - Seattle & Bellevue - July 2019

As your real estate expert - I am always watching the market and am happy to be your source for real estate information.

Here is a real estate market update from our local MLS:

Real Estate News July 2019: Buyers see some relief as we head into a strong summer housing market. Inventory, pending sales and prices all, increased during June compared to a year ago, according to the latest report from Northwest Multiple Listing Service. The same report, which covers 23 counties in Washington state, shows year-over-year drops area-wide in both the volume of new listings and closed sales in July. House hunters had a broader selection to consider as inventory at month-end totaled 16,800 active listings, about 9.5 percent larger than at the same time a year ago. Brokers added 11,977 new listings during the month, a drop from both a year ago when they added, 13,153 new listings, and from May when they added 14,689 new listings. About half the counties reported gains in inventory, led by King County where the selection grew nearly 32 percent from a year ago.

Below are some links to more market updates from some lender colleagues. If you have market updates to share with me or would like your updates shared in future posts, please call, text or email me direct.

Tina Mitchell, Loan Originator, Gateway Mortgage Group - Tina is my “go to” lender. I am continually impressed with her follow up and communications. She works nights and weekends, meet with clients remotely/electronically (or in person), and follows up each discussion with information in writing. As needed she even records a personal video to my clients explaining the documents, different loan programs, etc… so they can refer to the information as needed. Click this link for a video market update from Tina. Here is a different link to Tina’s website: https://www.gatewayloan.com/loan_officers/tina-mitchell/

Eric Aasness, Branch Sales Manager, Homebridge Financial - Eric’s US Housing & Market Weekly is extremely informative with a great mix of written narrative, visual charts, economic data, and numerous links to more articles. Mark Williams, Senior Loan Officer, Evergreen Home Loans - Mark’s “MortgageTime” market updates are also a weekly economic update based on data - with charts and explanations. Here is a different link to Mark’s website: www.evergreenhomeloans.com/markwilliams
